Catherine graduated from Newcastle University with an MEng in Chemical Engineering in 2016. Since then, she has worked as a Process Engineer in Product Development at AstraZeneca, which focusses on formulating the active pharmaceutical ingredient into a product, such as tablets and capsules. As an engineer, Catherine is responsible for developing a scalable and safe, robust manufacturing process that ensures the product meets all critical quality attributes.
Chris graduated from Durham University with a Masters in Chemistry in 2015 and joined a graduate programme at Croda with rotations in Group Quality Assurance, Health Care applications and Process Development at Enza Biotech in Sweden. After a secondment to work in vaccine development in Alabama, USA, Chris is now a Lead Application Scientist in the Health Care team in Yorkshire where he formulates and evaluates new and existing excipients for the pharmaceutical market.
Emer is a pharmacist and a formulation scientist working in Eirgen Pharma in Waterford, Ireland. She has seven years’ experience working in the pharmaceutical formulation sector in both industry and academic settings gaining product development expertise across creams, ointments, oral solid dosage forms and vaccines along the way. In her current role in Eirgen she acts as a technical expert in the development of high potency oral solid dosage forms using conventional and innovative techniques.
Joshua has a PhD in organic chemistry from Cleveland State University and holds 6 patents. He began his career in formulation science with The Sherwin Williams Company he created and optimised formulations for the paints and coatings industry for 9 years. He then joined Lubrizol Advanced Materials where he led a team focused on developing formulations for new resins and polymers. His current role is Global Applications Development Manager for Milliken chemical supporting coatings additives.
