Ceanothus and Medicinal Plants

Organised by:

Registration Closed

This event is no longer available for registration.

Synopsis

This meeting is an opportunity to see two of London's 'secret' gardens. Author Roger Phillips has been instrumental in turning the private gardens of Eccleston Square with its unique microclimate into a horticultural haven with major collections of Camelia, Ceanothus and Mimosa. Our visit is timed when the many Ceanothus should be in flower.

The Royal College of Physicians has an extensive collection of herbaceaous plants that have been used in the past and present for their medicinal properties. Garden Fellow, Henry Oakley, will talk about the history of the collection illustrated with the plants in the collection.
